Meet Our Board Members
The Children’s Hour Board Members
KC Gonzales Mitchell
Board President
KC Gonzales Mitchell is The Children’s Hour Inc’s board President, as well as a licensed teacher. KC is currently the school librarian at Alvarado Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the mom of two daughters and brings her extensive technology and educational knowledge and skills to our board, and is a great problem solver and strategist. KC serves on The Children’s Hour Executive Committee and oversees all aspects of the organization in partnership with our Executive Director.
Evan Moulson
Board Vice President
Evan Moulson is the board Vice-President, and has been involved with The Children’s Hour since he was 11 years old when he was invited to help out with a show at the Rio Grande Corn Maze, becoming a longtime cohost and engineer for the show. He now lives in Boston, MA with his wife, Hannah, and the apple of their eyes: their cat, Batman the Wondercat. Even though he lives across the country, he still drops by to say hello, watch the levels, and help Katie out on when he’s in Albuquerque. As a member of The Children’s Hour Board, Evan is on our Executive and Finance Committees.
Sonya Priestley
Board Secretary/Treasurer
Sonya Priestley is the board Secretary/Treasurer, a Certified Public Accountant. She has decades of leadership in nonprofits in New Mexico including United Way, Saranam, and many others. Sonya was awarded “Fundraiser of the Year” at the National Philanthropy Day in Albuquerque in 2018, and was Chair of United Way’s Campaign, and United Way Board President in 2020. Sonya serves on our Executive and Fundraising Committees, and helps Katie with The Children’s hour budgeting and financial reports.
Molly Madden
Governance Chair
Molly Madden is a retired school teacher, a regular volunteer at the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Project, and is a grandmother. Molly has extensive experience establishing nonprofits, and helping guide them to greater success. She is a master of good governance and is currently chairing The Children’s Hour’s Governance Committee.
Sasha Menendez
Board Member
Sasha Menendez is a home school educator and part-time wellness worker at La Montanita Co-op. Sasha is also a volunteer at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, the Kiwanis Learning Garden, and the Desert Oasis Teaching Garden at Academy High School. His boys, Zen and Amadeus, are longtime members of the Kids Crew for The Children’s Hour. Sasha serves as the chair of The Children’s Hour Fundraising Committee.
Lonnie Anderson
Board Member
Lonnie Anderson is our newest elected Board member. He is Jicarilla Apache, Mexhika and Chichimeca, an award winning Film Maker, Photographer, Creative Director, Designer, and organic farmer who lives in Albuquerque with his two daughters and love of his life. Lonnie is known for his exceptional Valentines that he makes annually for his wife, Anne. Lonnie serves on The Children’s Hour Fundraising Committee.
André Lacerda
Board Member
Andre was born in Brazil and has a nuanced perspective of the multicultural universe of music, specifically Jazz and World Music, which is enriched by his native fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Besides being a full-time dad, public radio host, and soccer coach, Andre is a producer and host of virtual team building experiences for organizations, companies and groups from all over the world at weve.co, a Silicon Valley tech meeting platform. André serves on The Children’s Hour Fundraising Committee.
Katie Stone
Executive Director
Katie Stone is an ex-officio member of our Board of Directors. She is the founder, Executive Director, and Producer of The Children’s Hour Inc. since 2018 after being a volunteer producer of The Children’s Hour for more than 17 years at KUNM-fm. She has decades in business administration, and lives and works on a solar-powered organic farm near the Rio Grande in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but got her start in radio as a 15 year old at WDGC in Downers Grove, IL. She serves on all committees of the Board.

Peter Chestnut
Advisory Board Member
Peter Chestnut is an attorney in Albuquerque specializing in Native American water and land issues. He is also a grandfather and musician.
Jeffrey Squires
Advisory Board Member
Jeffrey Squires is an attorney in Albuquerque specializing in intellectual property, and he serves on our advisory board.
Armando Ortega
Advisory Board Member
Armando Ortega is an Albuquerque musician and early childhood educator. He is also an accomplished weaver in the tradition dating back hundreds of years in his family.
Andrew Stone
Advisory Board Member
Andrew Stone serves on our advisory board, and was The Children’s Hour’s first and most loyal fan and volunteer. He’s also the husband of Katie Stone.
